Gymnastics Skills Warm-Up (brought to you by Invictus Gymnastics)…
Every 30 seconds, for 3 minutes (3 sets) of:
Interval 1 – Full Support Hold on Low Rings x 20 seconds
Interval 2 – Catch Position Hold on Low Rings x 10 seconds

Followed by…

Every 30 seconds, for 2 minutes (2 sets) of:
Interval 1 – Donkey Kicks x 30 seconds effort
Interval 2 – Hand Plank Shoulder Taps x 30 reps

Then…

A.
Every 2 minutes, for 12 minutes (2 sets of each):
Station 1 – Muscle-Ups with a Pause at Receiving and Pause at Full Extension x 2-5 reps
(OR Low Ring Muscle Up Progression + Dip Catch & Extension x 3-4 reps)
Station 2 – Handstand Walk x 10 meters
(use partner assist or Handstand Wall Runs if you don’t have handstand walks yet)
Station 3 – L-Sit or L-Sit Progression x 45-60 seconds

B.
Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 18 minutes of:
6 Strict Handstand Push-Ups
9 Strict Pull-Ups
12 Alternating Pistols (Single-Leg Squats)

HSWalking ✅ lots of breaks but got the distance.
Did support holds will knees up x 45 sec

B. 9 + 10 scaled to abmat under my head for SHSPU. pull ups were definitely the gate keeper when to 2s and singles after 4 rounds.

Finally got into my gym after taking 3 days of rest! The week before vacation is always a nightmare at work…and trying to function on about 3 hours of sleep a night didn’t sound like a good plan for any good work in the gym. So today… May 20 WOD A. B. 8 rounds with khspu with 2 mats underhead and band assisted pistols.

Tough workout! HSPUs and Pullups were unbroken. Was really struggling on the Pistols (based on previous knee injury) but was able to grind through and refused assistance… 6 rds plus pullups. FAIL BEFORE SCALE!

The knee is super swollen today and tough to walk on, but thanks for asking ma’am! Atleast I still have my pride in completing the workout as RXed. Scaling a workout that you are capable of completing as RXed is, in my mind, comparable to John Daly riding a golf cart around Bethpage Black last weekend… just sad.

B. 10 rds even. Held one ring with a light touch for stability on the way down in the pistols. Hip mobility is my issue. SHSPU unbroken, pull-ups were the gatekeeper: most rds 5/2/2.

Station 3 – 250/200 Meter Row
Station 4 – 20 Wall Ball Shots (20/14 lbs)
Station 5 – 50 Double-Unders

Completed.

Bike – 520-550 average pace, 42-45seconds
Bbjo – steady in 54 seconds
Row – 1:45 average pace in 52 seconds
Wb – unbroken in 40ish seconds.
Single unders – unbroken in 55ish seconds.
