18.5. 70 reps. I was hoping to get to the c2b, but couldn’t quite get there. I’m pleased with the effort though. I’ve made a lot of progress on c2b over the last several months. Thrusters were all unbroken.
B. 15 min row 3441 m
C. Plank and hollow rock holds
D. March madness

For the next couple of months I’ll be modifying the exercises to include heavier weights and less reps. Did 65lb db. 500m row, 30 DL, 75M farmer’s carry, 15 reps DBP press. I was back on the rowet for 50 M when the timer buzzed out. Finished off with 5 reps of bilateral dbp press, then 5 individual arm reps each arm for good measure

18.5 | Rx: 99 reps — I was shooting for 120, so I was pretty disappointed with this. My game plan was the following:

Thruster | C2B
3 UB UB
6 UB UB
9 UB UB
12 UB UB
15 8/7 UB — got real this round
18 9/9 9/9 — when keeping it real goes wrong

By the time I got to the 6th round of 18s my fuel gauge read a big fat E. Better luck next time, and props to everyone for finishing this Open season!

Had to make up for missing yesterday 18.5 but pull-ups not C2b. I like my head intact not in the light fixture in the ceiling.. was just doing it, no rush. Broke my husbands no chalk rule at the rd of 9s after sliding off the bar Made it to 12s +3. After about 1.5 min trying to find where he hid the chalk. First time back to Kipping pull-ups! Then today’s by myself just rested as needed 1k row 100 KB DL 44# 100m farmers walk 44# kB 100 fwd lunge 15# dB 100push press 20# DB 1 rd+1k+100DL+100m… Read more »

18.5 108 reps (finished 18 thrusters) Sort of hit my goal. I wanted to complete 18 thrusters and get over 110 reps. For some reason I thought finishing the 18 thrusters was 112 reps. I don’t know where that math came from ?! I’m happy I got through the 18 thrusters but I think I had more push at the end to get a few more reps. Used a lifting hook to keep my right hand on the bar For the pull ups. It works pretty good but it’s kind of an awkward pull so hit them in singles with… Read more »

18.5 – First Attempt – 82 Reps Did rounds 3,6,9,12 of thrusters UB, then 9/6 on round of 15. Did all C2B’s in singles with a few no reps in the round of 15. I will be redoing this tomorrow as I know I can push harder and faster on the thrusters. I am posting my video in the hopes that I can get some feedback on anything anyone sees that I can tweak or if something isn’t quite right. Unfortunately I don’t have a coach or anyone to assist so I am looking forward to hearing what anyone has… Read more »

Great work Candy! Super solid first attempt! It might have just been the video but it looked like the barbell wasn’t racked on your shoulders. I do the same thing and find it tires out my arms/shoulders quicker. When I got to rd 12, I loosened up, mostly my wrist, and was able to rack it and it helped for the rest of the WO. You’re gonna crush it tmrw!!

Prob not the video. .u are right…I struggle with racking it…I’m not sure why but I feel like my squat slows down when I rack it…but I’ll play with that when I warm up tomorrow. Thanks for taking the time to take a look Chad!

See how you feel widening your stance a little bit to get your torso up a little more. When you drive out of the thruster you initiate with your hips which is dropping your elbows and torso which is leading to lower elbows. Widen your stance and drive out leading with your elbows and that might fix that front wrack and save your low back a little bit. Solid work through! Go get em on the redo!!

Thanx Rob…u and Joey said the same thing about the elbows. I definitely didn’t really incorporate stretching and working my front rack position in warm up. .but will be doing that today. I am also thinking about switching to my lifters…used my metcons the first time..because I wasn’t sure about the extra weight on the c2b. But I think they will help with the thrusters and hopefully not be a factor with single c2b.

Several guys in my box used lifters to complete it and the stability favored them; I think every significant correction has been said by the guys candy so my only advice is “chalk the bar instead of your hands”, you won’t waste time rechalking your hands between the c2bs

Well, this is it A) 18.5: you know the drill. Score 69 reps This was the result of setting myself a good flexible plan and executing it properly; the thrusters were unbroken in the rounds of 3 and 6, then did 6/3 and 6/4/2. All C2Bs were done in singles with only one no rep when I attempted the 10th rep of the round of 12. Legs were all gone after completing those 12 C2Bs, as the jump to the bar took a lot of stamina away but I let everything out to complete those 12 C2Bs thinking I was… Read more »

126 reps Rx, thought I was going to get to the thrusters on 21, but 100 lbs. got heavy quick. Did up to round 12 unbroken for both. Felt good but just could not catch my breath at all. Proud of getting through 18 of each though. Good luck to all who have yet to try it.
