Did clean and jerk singles first. Worked up to 245, missed the clean at 265 and 255. Finished with a good rep at 225.
As for the WOD, completed with David and Brian in 34:31 RX. 70# KB Goblet Squats. I started on the row and finished with the wall climbs.

I was shooting for your time but wasn’t even close. Endurance is weak for me.

Did all 5 rounds in a row. 40kg goblet squat. 23:01

Actually never done Wall Climbs before and therefore I was planning to change them for another excercise. But then I figured what the heck, lets bring some challenge. And i figured them all out and it was so fun. Definately going to do some more of these! Do you guys lock out your elbows completely all the time or keep them almost locked? Felt like there was a lot of pressure on them…

Nice work Niqlas! I have never thought about it, but I keep them pretty straight. I don’t think you want them locked solid, but you don’t want much bend either.

Good question. I have never really thought about my elbows when doing wall climbs and had to do to check 😉 I try to move my hands pretty quick to get up and down the wall quickly. Starting in a plank position and walking until my quads touch the wall. I’m going to tackle this one over the weekend. I did front squats, front rack walking lunge a and fight gone bad with my group today…so I’m spent!!!

There will be a slight bend of the elbow as you take your steps to and from the wall. As you support your bodyweight though, you should have a full lock out of the elbow so one arm is always extended. Both will be locked out at the top of the wall climb.
