It’s the tempo for the lift or movement. 2111 is 2 counts down (or eccentric) 1 count at the bottom, 1 count up (or concentric) and 1 count at the top of the lift. Then an “X” means “explode” so 21×1 means 2 counts down, 1 count at the bottom, explode up (fast and powerful) and 1 count at the top.
