Had a long day at work is hardly had time to workout, no MetCon 🙁

A. 225×1

Would love to get advice on whether I’m turning my push press into more of a push jerk… I feel like there’s a bit of a second dip mid press.

A. PP to 195
B. Sub standing strict DB press 6 x 30 for HSPU, Russian KBS
13 rds + 8
Subbed because there really was nowhere to get on the wall for HSPU. Changed the flavor of the workout a bit. 30s were super light early, but started to wear me down by the end.

A. 195. Not a PR but is only 10lbs off my all time pr and being 145 days post labrum surgery I will take it.

B. Did kipping since a comp next weekend calls for them and are a tad easier on the shoulder

10rds plus 6 hspu

Really strong work today Forrest. How’s your shoulder feeling after the surgery?

It feels pretty solid except for full snatches, OHS are awful, and when in a full arch at the bottom of a kipping pullups or muscle ups. The latter two are much better than a month ago but the first two feel no different.

Take it slow on some of the more dynamic movements. Kipping and snatching are super aggressive on the shoulders and might hurt you if you keep pushing it. Just tread carefully!

A. 185 for a 30# increase over a 2yo PR. I knew I would go over my previous but my goal was 175 so I’m happy about the extra 10#’s

B. 9 + 37 as Rx’d. Love the grind

A. Worked up to 225# and failed. Finished with a PR at 215#. A PR because I have never tried to max PP before.
B. 9 rounds +7 D/U…did first two rounds without a mat on HSPU then went to single abmat to lessen stress on neck. Also found I did not stress the negative so much when I had a cushy mat to hit my head on. Did the KBS and D/U as Rx and unbroken all rounds.
