Hey Lise! I’d like you to rest completely today (Thursday) and tackle the qualifier workout tomorrow. No need to back track and make up sessions you missed, just pick up with todays rest (or active rest) and then do the qualifier tomorrow. 🙂

I am a day behind did the squat clean Jackie workout and today I am 10 weeks out of knee surgery I did 200lb front squat to am 155 hang clean was pretty happy with that for today. When I got to check my legs wereally cooked and I subbed pushup for pull ups as I have not installed my pull up bar yet. Did jackie for the 1st time last week did 9.02 today was 9.23. My legs have not got back the endurance they had before the injury and surgery.

You are progressing great Doug. It does take time, often longer then we think, but keep being smart about how much volume you do and you’ll be surprised at how well your leg strength and endurance comes back!

I have been pleased so far. I wish I could say the knee feels 100% better but I have been told it will take 4 months for that the be the case. I have been released from PT and just told to be smart. I am pushing about 1/2 the weight right now. Gives me time to work on form

97 and humid today. Heat index 106. Hello St. Louis! Ugh… A – Done. Like the new drills. B – 335. Didn’t feel all that explosive. C – Not a good workout to do in the heat. About halfway through I spoke to Jesus while running. He told me this workout is very similar to what hell is like so I should treat my fellow mankind with kindness and respect or else I will be stuck doing this workout for all eternity. I’m kidding, I think… 4rds + Row, burpees, and dips. Nothing illustrious but I finished it. D –… Read more »

Yesterday’s FS@ 245; 265; 275, 265; 275; 295(1)

Then WZA #1- Used an bent old beater bar with center knurling. That with my thumb was not a great combo. Only 13 reps with a 4:51 tie breaker and way too many misses but I got it done.

Very good question Nichole, I asked myself the same question about 3 min into it all. Was trying to save my thumb since it was a 28mm bar and didn’t put as much pressure on my right thumb when I hook grip. Its a great bar for the snatch ( set my last 2 PRs on it) but totally the wrong bar for a C&J. Dumb mistake and lesson learned. Honestly though, I may have only got about 2-3 more reps with a different bar. After being #3 don’t think its worth redoing any of them.

Mobility, bridges, used a Swiss ball a few feet from the wall. Then reached to use the wall to bridge down. Success!
A: worked on it.
B: deadlift 395 for 9, velocity data at average of .49m/s indicating a bit under 80%. Should have added weight to get it down to .4m/s but played safe.so excited about doing bridges.
C: rest the jaw and go for it in a few hours.
D. Did as Russian Leg Curl. All the way down and back up for 8, trap raises with 10# DB. Strict form.

Some of DMA.

A. Done. Option 2 — 2 MUs each of the 3 rounds.
B. 380. Got hard.
C. Did Everyday Warrior Battle Series event 1 WOD instead.
15 min AMRAP
60 cal row
50 burpees over Bar
30 G2OH 95#
10 C2B
1 round + 97 reps. (257)
D. Could not do this. Hamstrings cramping, even with band to assist on GHRs. I think just lit up from DL and going to a dark place on the metcon.
