REGIONALS PREPARATION PROGRAM WEEKS 2 & 3 – Session One A. Done and done B. “2016 CrossFit Regionals Event 6” 11:18… I think I will be able to get it under 11 =) This felt good today. Assault biked 69-72rpm, 2×50′ UB handstand walk, 10UB OH squats (switched to Metcons and that helped the knee a bit), Rowed about a 1:56 pace, every 10 burpees I flipped my plates and then last 5 OH squats were UB. Skipped the rowing today. Had a late night. Session 1: Jerks at 225 EMOM. These felt pretty dang good. Last 2 got a little squirrelly from being tired but overall, pretty happy with landing all of these pretty solid. Cleaned the bar up from the ground each minute as well. No jerk blocks here and I’m not keen at lowering that down over and over. Both Metcons were awful. Pretty beat up this week and bad sleeps. Skull crushers yesterday actually really wore out my arms. C) Event 6- 15:29rx , first set of OHS slowed me down a lot. Really bothered my shoulder
Event 7- 6:15rx, the rope I climbed was thicker than a normal one and a little slippery

So, I needed a break and didn’t do Friday and Saturday. I needed it mentally and physically. I did a team workout with the gym and Saturday I snatched a little. Just to move. Sunday the girls and I did some extra walking. I meant to start back up Monday but Belle got sick and stayed home and when they are older they don’t cuddle as much so I cuddle when they are sick! I’ve done Tuesday’s and today’s but haven’t logged yesterday’s yet. I’m so happy I rested because both today and yesterday my cardiovascular is soo much better.… Read more »
Great to see you adjusting based on feel. In the longterm this will be far more beneficial than risking overtraining and potential injury.
I haven’t posted in the past few days. I was on vacation in Cabo but was able to do all the workouts at NorCal Cabo. Stayed on track even with the “all inclusive” amenities!

Good morning… Split drops…worked up to 60kg Jerks…65kg mechanics were a bit all over the place so I stayed at 75% (jerk is always tough on Wednesdays I find!) Workout 1 Had to drop weight on ohs…not strong overhead today at all and my 1rm is 75kg from the rack!) So I did 60kg 17.18 (used rower…no assault bike) Did well on handstand walks and burpees,1000m row was 3.55…500m row …1.56 Workout 2 4.54 Needed to get up the rope faster…stood on floor to long getting nervous!
