*This week we will be doing some re-testing as well as be testing some potential new 1-rep maxes. We will be continuing on our 12 week off-season cycle but will be shifting some focus to a box squat cycle and, next week, a pressing cycle.*

Snatch High-Pull + Power Snatch + Overhead Squat (focus on your landing for the power snatches)
Rest 2 minutes

Every 2 minutes, for 12 minutes, complete:
Snatch Lift-Off + Snatch
(Start between 70-75% of 1-RM and work up in weight)

and then . . .

Every 2 minutes, for 10 minutes (5 sets):
4-Stop Halting Snatch Deadlift @ 110% of 1-RM Snatch
(Pause for 3 seconds at each of the following positions: 2″ off the floor, mid-patella, mid-thigh, “pockets”/high hang – USE STRAPS)

missed Friday and Saturday.. I tried to combine some elements -others I could not… today I did Friday and Monday for the most part. it had its consequences… Hunter should I do Saturday -theres back squats and the much needed Bar muscle up work. Today I front squated and I didn’t do the box squats because I was thinking I am squatting tom.. what should I do I really don’t want to be further behind on the box squats? theres so much going on I’m my personal life but I didn’t want to miss out on the work..what do you… Read more »

I would recommend that you throw in the bar muscle up work just to practice them some more because that will not be too much to put in as long as its technique and efficiency focused. As hard as it will be to skip the box squats I would say just stay on track with the rest of program as much as possible and do not do the box squats just so you do not over do it.

Watch laura in the green! There is hip rotation but she never rocks her shoulders. She has one of the best box squats in the world. Now if you can not go as wide that is totally fine but the idea still applies.

Thanks for asking Hunter. Not that great to be honest. I’ve been prioritising Recovery for the French Throwdown this coming weekend. I therefore left the qualifier to the last minute with very little prep time. I probably shouldn’t have done it, but it did not agrevate my shoulder impingement at all. However, I struggled with the pull-up volume. Second time doing pull-ups in 4 weeks.
Anyway, looks like there are two Granite workouts this week. I’ll only have Monday after the French Throwdown.

Body weight at 155lbs….yes its going up!!! 1 x 20 reps Back Squat @ 85kg (187lbs) ;>) A. I did the Competitors 3 SNP+3 PS+3OHS all at 40kg 50% ish of max B. 60kg, 65kg, 67.5kg, 67.5kg, 70kg C. Completed at 100Kg…….so this my goal snatch….how on earth am I gonna get strong enough to get that over my head? Is there any extra strength work I can do to help me get there.
