Proper Position for the High Hang Snatch
Video by Hunter Britt
High hang snatches are commonly programmed in our training. Occasionally they will be programmed at a higher percentage, but usually they will be the first lift programmed and at a relatively light percentage. For the most part, this lift is meant to work on proper positioning. The high hang should reinforce a few things:
- A good finish position
- Reinforce a good bar path
- Having speed under the bar
- Using the legs to aggressively drive during the final pull
Check out the video above to ensure you are performing the high hang position correctly and to avoid some common faults.
