Day Two of Invictus at the 2017 CrossFit Games
Making four of his four attempts in the 1 RM Snatch Event (Event 4), Garret Fisher took an Event Win with a new Snatch PR of 305#. After hitting just under his previous PR on the third attempt, with one attempt left, he decided to throw more weight on the bar and give it a shot. Garret said, “I knew I had nothing to lose.”
Tammy Wildgoose of Team Invictus also had a fantastic lifting day, hitting a new Clean and Jerk PR at 210# during the Team 1 RM Clean and Jerk event. She also PRed her Clean at 215# but failed to make the jerk.
The CrossFit Games always adds an element of surprise to their events, and this year that element was the weather. To kick off Day Two, both Team Invictus and our individuals had to battle the new “O Course” in some pretty chilly and rainy weather.
Shelby Neal, 17 y/o, hit a 166# Snatch during the Teens 1 RM Snatch Event during Day One.
