West Coast Classic 2024 Invictus Teams and Athletes Performance

The West Coast Classic 2024 showcased the prowess of Invictus athletes and teams, with remarkable performances across the board. Held at the Dignity Health Park Sports Center in Carson, CA, this event was a key qualifier for the CrossFit Games.

Invictus Teams:

CrossFit Invictus

topped the team division, scoring 484 points. The team consisted of Joshua Al-Chamaa, Lauren Fisher, Jessi Smith, and Chandler Smith. They set multiple world records during the competition, including the highest scores in several events!

CrossFit Invictus Unconquerable

followed closely, securing second place with 468 points. This team included Roldan Goldbaum, Phillip Muscarella, Hannah Black, and Emily Rethwill. Hannah Black made headlines with a massive clean and jerk, setting a new personal best and contributing significantly to the team’s success.

Team Invictus Unbroken

finished in 9th place in the North America West region. This team, comprising Jenn Ryan, Lauren Stallwood, Tyler Soderback, and Sean Early, delivered notable performances, including a 3rd place finish in Workout 1 and a 2nd place finish in Workout 2 during the quarterfinals.

Team Invictus Unvexed

which placed 11th in the North America West region, included Riley Estrada, Kelsey Schulte, Eric Carmody, and Rob Shillaci. They consistently finished in the top 25 in the region for all quarterfinals workouts and put forth a great effort at West Coast Classic this past weekend.

Individual Performances

Devyn Kim had a strong showing, achieving multiple top 5 finishes and tying for 1st place in her final event of the weekend. We’re excited to see even more amazing things from Devyn!

Nick Thomas placed 29th overall in the men’s division, demonstrating resilience in a competitive field while repping Invictus Seattle.

Sam Dancer made an impressive return to individual competition, finishing 15th overall in the North America West region. His transition from the age-group division was marked by strong performances. While not advancing to the CrossFit Games, Sam is pleased to be spending plenty of quality time with his family this summer.

Dani Speegle finished 5th in the women’s division, showcasing her strength and versatility with several top finishes while also punching her ticket to the CrossFit Games.

These results highlight the strong presence and competitive edge of Invictus athletes and teams, reinforcing their reputation as formidable contenders in the CrossFit community. The top performers have secured their spots to compete in the 2024 CrossFit Games in Fort Worth, TX, from August 8-11.
