Until We Meet Again!

Nothing someone says before the word ‘but’ really counts, not in this case…
It’s been an incredible experience. Courage, passion and energy drew me away from my home in Montreal and planted me into an absolutely amazing community here in San Diego. Invictus is the world’s best CrossFit gym because Invictus has the world’s best members. The large amount of friendships that were created in a mere four months will be ones that I’ll cherish forever. The constant and endless positive feedback, emails and acknowledgements hit me real deep and do not go unnoticed. I never would have made it this far without the love I felt from the Invictus members, coaches, employees, CJ and his wonderful family, and my incredibly hospitable roommate (and fellow Invicti) Lorna.
Half of me wants to stay here forever, but I’m going to go ahead and listen to the other half that wants to go back home.
Truth be told, it could be the worst decision I’ll ever make. But who knows? I surely don’t but I intend to find out. You can say that going home is a step backward; I’ll never know unless I try. I’m 23 years old and continuously learning new things about life every single day. I’m the kind of person that’s all in all the time – always diving right in, living through personal experience. Like wandering through Tijuana to get a working Visa or flying to Idaho to find a girlfriend (true story!). Montreal might spit me back out to another part of the world, but now I won’t be scared. Because if it leads me to another experience even remotely as awesome as this one was, I’ll embrace it with open arms. All thanks to you.
I will be leaving you all this Saturday, August 16th. It certainly won’t be the last time we see each other – I’ll be back. I hope you’ll be as welcoming and loving as you are now. Don’t ever change!
Be the best,
Vic
p.s. Wooooooooooo!
