Aja’s Message to the Sea of Green

Sea of Green,

Thank you guys for everything this weekend. From the Twitter updates to the warm smiles and support to the deliciously prepared meals at the hotel, as well as those tasty little apple sauce/sweet potato post-workout surprises. I must say, I am incredibly grateful to be an honorary Invicti! There is no support crew like the one you guys have at Invictus. From seeing what you guys did for JB last year to seeing that same replicated effort this year for the team and all of the athletes, it simply makes competing that much easier when you have so much support backing you event after event. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all for allowing me to be apart of what you guys represent!

I had the opportunity to see how a lot of coaches handled themselves around their athletes this week and I must say, we are very lucky to have “The Wizard” watching over us. He is hands down one of the best out there, not just for his creative genius of making us better athletes, but for the care and concern he puts into supporting what we do, regardless of the end result. We are better by just surrounding ourselves around this man and what he has built at Invictus. I cannot wait to get back out there to San Diego and be amongst the Sea of Green once again!
