Primary Training Session
A.
Every 2 minutes, for 20 minutes (10 sets):
Clean from Blocks + Jerk

Build over the course of the 10 sets to something heavy for the day. Set the blocks so that the barbell is at the knees in your starting position.

B.
Three sets of:
Clean Deadlift with 2″ Deficit x 1 rep @ 8141
Rest as needed

Take 4 seconds on the ascent – slow and deliberate noting correct positioning throughout each phase; the descent should feel excruciatingly slow and force you to maintain tension to hold positions as you pass back through your ideal lifting positions.

C.
Five rounds for time of:
400 Meter Run
10 Burpee Bar Muscle-Ups
20 Sandbag Squats (100/70 lbs – bear hug hold)

100-Foot Overhead Yoke Carry

200-Foot Farmer’s Walk
(turn every 50-feet)
Rest 2-3 minutes

C.
Four sets of:
150-Foot Single-Arm Reverse Sled Drag
Rest 60 seconds

Rest 3 minutes, and then switch to the other arm for four sets.

D.
Three sets of:
100-Foot Harnessed Sled Pulls (at max weight)
Rest 60 seconds

Finisher
Two rounds, without rest, of:
30 seconds of Lateral Dumbbell Raises with Thumbs Facing Up
30 seconds of DB Hercules Hold with Palms Facing Up
300 Meter Sandbag Carry

A. No yoke – used a fat bar w/ purple rogue bands and 12kg KBs for OH walk.
B. Rogue Farmers handles loaded w/ 100# on set 1 and 140# on set 2
C. Single-arm reverse sled drag: 145# all 8 sets. Forearms were toasted!
D. Harnessed sled pulls w/ 300# all 3 sets – PR!
Finisher:
Raises & holds w/ 5# plates and sandbag carry w/ 55#

A) 185, 205, 215, 225, 230, 235, 240, 245, 250(missed jerk), 250(made all). Feeling better in these positions
B) 250 Across. Really started to recognize the position I had on the block son the way down. Feeling it out.
C) 24:41. First round too 6:00 Minutes. Shaved it to 5 BBMU and 10 DBall squats to keep the intensity up. Hard to run outside today; holy humidity! “Feels like 97”

No blocks. Built to a heavy-ish hang clean and jerk (255lbs), then switched to full clean and jerk. Got up to 275lbs successfully but it was a struggle. Still 93% of my new PR so I am trying to not be too hard on myself. I seriously think my back end is STILL wiped from the Bulgarians. It did NOT want to work. Clean Deads at 285-305-310lbs. Ouch. Then did an EMOM 10 of 5 Strict C2B, then 10 Cal Ski. Did regular yoke walks @ 100ft instead of overhead: 325 & 395lbs 200ft Farmers Carry done with a hex… Read more »

Strongman work A) carried dbs over head because no yoke B) 75lb dbs C) 4 sets on each arm done E) subbed sand bag carry with the 150lb bag for about 350ft instead of 300 meters Rested about an hour then did regular clean and jerks because there was limited space and I didn’t want to take up a lot of room. Worked to a pretty smooth 280! 10lbs under my max Clean deadlifts 265/275/285 5rft: 28:00 I did 10 squats with the 150lb bag (that’s all I have) went at a pace I could hold for all 5 rounds… Read more »

A: up to 220lbs. Solid today! B: Did these at 205lbs standing on a 25lb plate. C: 29:08 – only had a 100lb sandbag so did 15 UB sandbag Squats at 100lbs. Which felt really good. Which is amazing. Tino! The sandbag didn’t kill me!
