Community: a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

Friday Night Lights at Invictus showcases the strength of our community. Every Friday during the Open season, we gather our community to support our athletes who participate in the Open. The participating athletes include Games veterans, Invictus coaches, and mostly, our amazing members. Some of the participants are looking to post a world’s best score, while others are just trying to do their first muscle-up. It’s a big event, complete with vendors, food trucks and lots of prizes for our members and participating athletes. The Invictus Sea of Green gathers on those Friday evenings to cheer their hearts out for their friends, training partners and coaches. Both participating athletes and their rabid supporters enter the gym with one intention; to give their full effort…and nobody disappoints. The athletes are fueled by the support of their friends and training partners to accomplish things never believed possible, and in turn the spectators are inspired to find the outer limits of their own abilities. The atmosphere is electric and invigorating, with echoes of positive affirmations and inspiration that last long beyond the night. It’s occasions like this, when a group of diverse people can come together for a common interest and unify in their support of others, that exemplifies community. This is why Invictus Friday Night Lights are so special to our Sea of Green.

The video below captures the energy and excitement that our community brings every week. Here they are cheering on one of our staff members, who is working through more muscle-ups in 14 minutes than she had ever done in the years leading up to this night:
