For the following two drills, draw out your ideal jerk footwork and use those marks to ensure perfect footwork. Please click here and watch this video to learn how to draw your footwork

Jerk Balance x 3 reps
Rest as needed

Followed by…

Three sets of:
Tall Jerks x 3 reps
Rest as needed

C.
Six sets of:
Jerk with Pause x 1.1 reps
(Dip and hold for 2 seconds at the bottom of the dip, then drive – rest 10 seconds between lifts.)
Rest as needed

Use jerk blocks and build to today’s 2-RM – but be disciplined about the pause.

D.
Every 2 minutes, for 10 minutes (5 sets):
Back Squat x 4 reps

*Sets 1-3 = @ 70% of 1-RM Back Squat
*Sets 4-5 = @ 75% of 1-RM Back Squat

I will have limited time this week with added responsibilities supporting Vernon! I’ll do what I can but am not expecting any spectacular performances out of myself this week.
A. This would be a good one for me to do and will probably incorporate it tomorrow in place of the programmed WOD. Skipped for now

D. Took 90% of my 1RM and then 70% & 75% of that. So, 170 / 185

18 DB thrusters w/ 55s (AB: 3:51)
12 Alt Snatches w/ 55 (done with burpees at 4:08 tried to stay with 15 a minute)

Could have pushed the DL and the burpees harder. Had some gas left on the snatches just no time.

Surprised that this went well despite not feeling great today (though did feel quite queasy afterwards). Burpees were definitely the worst part, slow.
B. Done
C. Up to 145. Jerks felt good today and maybe should have done more/gone up but this was 6 sets and resisted the urge.
D. These felt unusually heavy. Sets 1-3 at 155, sets 4-5 at 165.
