18.1 – 295
PR
I could have made 300 reps if I had tightened up the transitions. Still hate this one, but apparently practice makes you better.
Ended up doing a partner WOD with hubby as we were both home.
3 rounds
Split reps
1000 M Row
50 Wall ball
100′ HSW
100 DU

You may recognize this as Main sites WOD. Seriously would not have been able to finish all the work myself.
18.1 – 18rds+18
18.1 – 9+18 (306 reps) PR
Have fallen short of 300 in all previous attempts. Felt good to finally get it.
Awesome! Congrats!
Great job! That is awesome 🙂

The misses got 7 rounds with knee raises & 35# db

The chalk monster strikes again!
6 Rounds and 5 Reps 197 total. Really wanted to hit seven rounds. Had to low the Db to 40, I’ve separated that darn left shoulder twice and I just can’t do a lot of weight on it these days. Great workout though.
Rx: 8 rounds on the button
I didn’t make it to the rower that round in the open. I was pretty even on my rounds today.
Nice!

C. Push Lawn Mowing
D. 10 min resistance training (AKA getting sweaty sports bra off) – The struggle is REAL!
Awesome effort on the metcon! You flew through that. It’s a totally different deal running in the heat now isn’t it.
I feel your pain on Part D!
Rx 8+18. About 2 rounds shy of my 18.1 score. 103 degree temps after 8hrs of driving.. this is about what I expected. Happy to get some work in today as my Achilles is still on the mend!

Keep crushing it everyone! You guys are my goals once I get fully healthy again!

It’s heating up here in TX!
McAllen area here, can confirm the heat! Great work!
Right on! I’m in Waco.
I escaped from Alice last week. Thankfully it wasn’t as bad as when I was there a month ago. Stay hydrated, friends! Eat more watermelon! 🙂

Beast!
Sweet! Great job!
Good morning everybody….
A. 321 Rx; last time was 337. when I look at the last time I did this (2018 open), I would have gotten a lot of no reps on t2b (legs didn’t pass behind me). this is something I have been working on since my last competition. this time I did it right.
On a semi-related note, I got to meet Dan Bailey this weekend. he happened to walk into a brewery with his brother and brother’s girlfriend/fiance/wife. good dude, but not sure if he is really 5’7″ tall.
Super impressed holding yourself accountable Chris. Are we saying he’s being ambitious with 5’7″?
Yeah…he looked really short to me.
Subtract at least 2 inches…
Seriously, you’re an inspiration Chris. You had to be a competitive athlete in your younger years with the way you’re still killing it at 50.
Haha…you got me… BMX from 12 to 16 and wrestling from 10 until 22. DII All-american in ’89 at 167lbs. Did other stuff too, but those were main sports.
BMX! Rad! 😉
Totally
How has this not come up before!? https://www.instagram.com/p/BwIGqLGBDXW/?igshid=13fqxm2njp4df I’m the one in the white shirt. I know so many great athletes that wrestled, the conditioning is no joke.
I saw that IG post a few months back. Brought back memories. Loved BMX and cycling in general. After wrestling and before CrossFit, I did pretty much nothing but road and mountain biking.
Cough.. cough.. 50.. lol.. killed it man. Nice work!
Thanks. This one hurt more. I was queasy for about an hour after.
6 rounds +6 cal. DB 25 Kg. All unbroken… Smoked!
Welcome, Squirrel! Great job today!
