Day behind on workout and 2 days behind posting….ugh LIFE! Mobility Mobility Mobility (LOVE the videos on the front rack and jerk positioning) A. Haven’t done a ton of Push Jerk so I wasn’t sure how to tackle this but my 1 RM Split Jerk is 140# so I was hoping to get close to that. 90#x3,100×3, 105×2, 110×2, 115×1(f), 110×1, 113×1, 115×1, 120×1(f) ***A little disappointed in this. Actually the DU didn’t go as well here as they did the other day. WAY to many trips…but I think a lot of that was mental because of the HSPU frustration. But today is another day and so far it looks GREAT!

A. Pause Front Squat @ 32X1: 185/195/205/215/225 x 5 reps — love the pause at the bottom but absolutely hate the descent. It’s like waiting for your spouse when your late to something.

Easter weekend is the last opportunity to hit the beach until the autumn fully sets in in uruguay; so i’ll be taking the family to the beach. I’m thinking about doing some tabata body work followed by some swimming later today.

Other than that I’ll be taking this weekend to work on what’s between the ears, reassess the whys and focus on how grateful i am for my current level of fitness and doing some real planning on where will be my focus for the next cycle of training.

This morning Yesterday’s work Pre skill work: tall jerks x 3 reps: 65#-75-85-85 A. Push jerk E2MOM. Based on 170# 1RM SJ 3×125–130 / 2×140-145 / 1×150-155-160-165 Could consider that a push jerk PR. Form not great, lack of shoulder mobility is preventing me from catching in a good dip. Did a few extra reps to work on that afterwards with low weight. Part A today looks like a lot of fun, but figured for my development it’s better if I catch up on the snatch work from earlier this week. Will head to the gym tonight and get in the jerk session plus part B from today’s programming. Hit the top of all the %s for every snatch, feeling a lot better about speed under the bar and squatting the bar from the floor. Hit 95% 1rm as my last lift which felt smooth. B. Done:
– DL with kettlebell 20/24/24,
– Bridges with 80 kg barbell (it wasn’t caused by weight of the barbell, but I’ve got some issues trying to reach full hip extension),
– planks on elbow (same issues as above).
