Did this one today. Last time I did this at the 2014 Pan Pacs – a big masters comp in Aus. Got 23 muscle ups.
Today I got 25 muscle ups, which I am stoked about because I was in the gym alone really not wanting to slog through 150 wall balls but did it anyway.
Other than my skipping rope breaking everything went to plan. Did the wall balls in 5:10 then my rope broke at around 30 reps… after fixing my rope and completing the doubles I had roughly 5 minutes left did 6-4-3-3-3-2-2-1-1
Went and did extra work on ring muscle up drills.
Made up back squats from Wednesday. 142/162/172/185/174/164/144#
Progressing on the volume of Masters programming. Now only missing Tuesday’s and Saturday’s conditioning. And have been able to do Invictus Endurance once a week.
Took kids swimming.
A: 262 – very comfortable leading into MU. Just couldn’t hold the big sets or move fast enough in the singles and doubles.

244 Wall Balls in 6:20 (all 25’s) UB DU and forgot exact time, approx 7:20. Seeing that MUs had taken a vacation from my life in the past 4 weeks, I guess I’m happy with 4. I didn’t even get one warming up and failed my first rep in the workout. Finally got a few singles. I moved back to the short straps which feel more like a BMU. A. 262 really broke the wallballs up a lot.
20-15-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-8-7 short breaks. Finished just under 7 minutes. Then things fell apart as I tripped about 6 times in my first 30 dubs. Then I figured it out and did the last 60 unbroken. Got to muscle ups with 3:18 left. And did all doubles.
Overall pretty happy I guess. Got 265 in 2013. I definitely think I capable of that with a little less pacing and better execution on the dubs.

wouldn’t expect you to break like that in the WB. Did you feel good afterwards? How many MU did you get in that 3 mins?
I hit 22 muscle-ups. I’m not a hundred percent sure the clock said 3:18 when I started my muscle ups but that’s what I remember. I felt pretty good yeah , certainly better than if I had gone for big sets. For some reason big sets of wallballs have always been a goat of mine. I’ll be adding some additional work into my programming in the next couple of months because I need to get more confident in these. There is no chance that I could hit 100 in a row!!!!!not even close!

Major improvement then! Good for you. Rings and finicky shoulders don’t play well together. Good to see you are able to get so many now that you are healing up.

A: 248…however…i did c2b vs mu’s. Wall balls are kinda touchy with my calf, so i decided to go slow and steady sets of 10 the entire time. Funny thing is…my gym wife usually DESTROYS me on wall balls. And today she finished only slightly ahead of me. I was not doing Crossfit in 2013 so this was my first time doing this WOD.

Done with wb at 7:00, du at 8:53, and didn’t attempt first rmu until 10:00 and failed. Made my attempts at 10:45 and 11:15 and then failed at 11:50. I could have saved that one but decided it wasn’t worth it. Overall thrilled because that is the first time I’ve ever done rmu truly fatigued. Feeling confident.

A)10:07. Stopped after DU as I did not want to push it with my shoulder. I only did this wod once in 2013 when I first started CF. At that time I barely completed the WB before the time cap. Shoulder felt good this morning probably around 85%.

A. 22 muscle ups.
Started with a 3, then A few 2’s, and quickly into singles. Got much to improve on here…
Positive side, KAREN was 4:59 100+30+20 – couple of trips in the DU, but they were comfortable.
B. Did some extra conditioning in a team WOD. Nice and easy, but challenged my left shoulder with some OH walking dB lunge 37.5kg (80+lbs). Sets of 10 on right then 10 on left. Right side is comfortable, but left is challenging.

Also, It’s no good being fast on WB if the MU aren’t good. Got much work to do on MU

Yeah my dips gave out on me too. Overall the muscle ups felt good for me. I just didn’t give myself enough time to get more done. If I was to do it again I would go for at least a few bigger sets of wallballs, slow down my du’s to ensure I didn’t trip 5 times like I did today and then I think I could hit a few more reps. Also had a work function last time that involved a late night and a couple beverages so I would try to avoid that next time as well lol!
we gotta live man. I drink most nights tbh. A glass of red is good for you, right!
