Three sets of:
T-Spine Pulse on Bench x 45 seconds
Band-Assisted Hamstring Floss x 30 seconds per side
Foam Roll Lats x 30 seconds per side
and then . . .
Two sets of:
Cross Over Symmetry Victory
x 10 reps
Single-Leg Hip Bridges x 10 reps per side (make sure you don’t drop your pelvis to one side)
A.
Take 3 minutes to draw out your foot work
Jump & Lands x 10 reps
Every minute, on the minute, for 4 minutes:
Drop to Split x 2 reps
and then . . .
Every 90 seconds, for 12 minutes, complete:
Split Jerk x 1 rep @ 85%
B.
Deadlift
*Set 1 – 10 reps @ 55% of 1-RM
*Set 2 – 8 reps @ 65%
*Set 3 – 6 reps @ 75%
*Set 4 – 4 reps @ 80%
*Set 5 – 2 reps @ 85%
Rest 2-3 minutes between sets.

Every 5 minutes, for 20 minutes (4 sets):

Supinated Grip Pull-Up x 8-12 reps
Rest 30 seconds
Barbell Curl x 10-12 reps
Rest 2-3 minutes
Jerks not done today as I’m training with a weightlifting coach tomorrow so will do them then.
Deadlifts at 66kg, 78kg, 90kg, 96kg, 102kg. Felt good.
Row/Sandbag carry/hspu were between 3:18 and 4:20. Strict HSPU is a huge weakness of mine so needed to use an abmat.
Pull ups and curls will be done tomorrow also.
Added in Lat Pulldowns and Seated Cable Row for back strengthening. Also worked on gymnastics skills – predominantly handstand walking and bar muscle ups (more weaknesses of mine)

A: skipped split jerks
B: deadlifts- 185/210/245/260/275- reset on all reps, dead pull from the ground. Made a big difference!
C: Row/carry/hspu- 3:36/3:36/4:03/3:57- hspu died on the last 2 rounds. Think my sandbag was a 100# bag… it was in the neighborhood. Got the heaviest one I could find.
D: farmers carry- done 2x 70# KBs… we have 100# DBs but the handles are so big I can’t hold on.
E: pull ups- 3×10
Curls for the gurlzzzzz- 3×10 (55#)

The SHSPU were solid and better than they have been although the fact I wasn’t able to nail 10 per round like majority of the other athletes isn’t good. Starting round two I split it up into strict/kipping sets. Coming along but no where’s near where I need to be if we get strict in the games.
Onward and upward – seeing progress is huge. That is great Brent and all we can do is keep you making good progress so you are ready come game time.
