A.
Every minute, on the minute, for 5 minutes:
Drop Snatch x 1 rep
(focus on speed)

and then . . .

Every 90 seconds, for 15 minutes (10 sets):
Hang Snatch x 1 rep with pause at the bottom for 2 seconds

(Perform from mid-thigh; and make the most of your reps here, pull the barbell off the floor as if you were going to snatch it, pause for a moment at mid-thigh, and then snatch from there.)

*Sets 1-3 – 50% of 1-RM Snatch
*Sets 4-6 – 60%
*Sets 7-8 – 70%
*Sets 9-10 – 75%

and then . . .

Two sets of:
3 Position Halting Snatch Deadlift x 1 rep
Rest as needed

For this exercise, you will employ a 1-2 second pause at three separate points: (1) 2″ off the floor; (2) the knees; and (3) mid-thigh. The purpose is to pause and hold your IDEAL position at each of these points, so don’t let your ego and the load get the best of you. Keep your lats tight and pay attention to the distribution of weight through your foot at each point to ensure you’re performing this correctly.

*Set 2 – 3 reps @ 75-80%
*Set 3 – 1 rep @ 85-90%
Rest 2-3 minutes

Every two minutes, for 12 minutes (6 sets):

Ring Muscle-Ups x 6/5 reps
Double-Unders x 50 reps
Handstand Walk x 100′
Rest 2 minutes

50-54: 4/3 Muscle-Ups; 75′

Then did weight vest 20 lbs
800 m then 6 rounds of the wod 9:05, it felt like the wod is just getting started at round 6

B. Only did 5-3-1 / 175-200-225#
C. Did 2 full rounds and 3rd RD only did the mu/du part. The HS Walk bothered my low back.

10 min rest and then tested a scaled down version of Regionals Event 1….with 14# weighted vest… 800m run and 6 RD’s of 4 strict hspu, 8 c2b, 12 air squats. 8:45 (unbroken except 6th RD pull-ups went 5/3). This workout really starts about 6th RD.

Been chasing this for a couple of weeks. Tweaked neck/trap just prior to mq..gutted the 5 workouts, but the hspu pissed off what is resolving to be a high rib out of place and a c5/6 nerve issue that is shutting down my left delt, trap, scap and causing a lot of pain and constant spasm of upper scap. 4 x chiro, acupuncture, cupping, pt…. trying to find relief. Cant muscle up or hsw… took 8 days off, didn’t get better, feels better when move. Smashing, mashing..patience i guess???

Oh poop Matt! Yeah patience but if there is a rib out and potential compromise of the nerve then I would suggest seeing a massage therapist as well as the above methods you mentioned. For the remainder of this week, lets have you stay away from anything overhead, just to give it a little more rest. I would also have you do some shoulder stability exercises (like trap 3 raises) to help balance the shoulder girdle (if there is no pain with this).
