Event 3
Combined score of events 1 and 2
Athletes will receive three separate scores for these events:
(1) Time to complete Event 1;
(2) amount of heaviest successful squat clean performed in the 8-minute time period (in pounds, not kilograms); and
(3) a total score, which will equal the athletes’ score for Event 2 MINUS 1 pound for every second over 2 minutes (for males) or 3 minutes (females) it took the athlete to complete Event 1. Athletes who complete Event 1 in less than 2 minutes (for males) or 3 minutes (for females) will add 1 pound for every second under that baseline time. Example score calculations for males and females are below:
Male Example: Event 1 = 2:07, Event 2 = 315 lbs, Event 3 Score = 308
Female Example: Event 1 = 2:40, Event 2 = 225 lbs, Event 3 Score = 245
Event 4

12 Power Cleans
21 Burpee Box Jump-Overs (24”/20”)
9 Power Cleans
15 Burpee Box Jump-Overs (24”/20”)

Event 1-4 Movement Standards
Rowing on Concept 2 – The Concept 2 ergometers will be set for meters. Athlete must stay seated until the monitor shows that the athlete has reached the prescribed number of meters.
Burpees Over the Concept 2 Erg – In the bottom position, the athlete’s chest and thighs must be simultaneously touching the ground. The athlete must jump over the railing of the erg from both feet – one-footed jumping or stepping over is not permitted. Both of the athlete’s feet must pass over the top of the erg railing. Burpees may be performed lateral to the erg so long as the above standards are met. A repetition is complete every time the athlete lands on the opposite side of the erg from where the burpee was performed.
Squat Clean –This movement begins with the barbell on the ground, and the athlete in a clean set-up position. The barbell must be moved from the floor to a front-rack supported position above the clavicle, and the athlete must pass through the bottom of a squat – crease of hips below the top of the knee. At the top of the movement, the barbell must be supported in the front-rack position with the athlete’s elbows clearly forward of the barbell at the same time that their hips and knees are fully extended.
Power Cleans – The barbell begins on the ground for each repetition – touch and go repetitions are fine as long as the plates come in simultaneous contact with the ground. At the top of the movement, the barbell must be supported in the front-rack position with the athlete’s elbows clearly forward of the barbell at the same time that their hips and knees are fully extended.
Burpee Box Jump-Overs – In the bottom position, the athlete’s chest and thighs must be simultaneously touching the ground. The athlete must jump over the box from both feet – one-footed jumping or stepping over is not permitted. Both of the athlete’s feet must pass over the top of the box – the athlete cannot swing the trailing leg around the side, and no portion of the athlete’s body other than his/her feet may touch the box. Athletes may jump on and off the box, or may elect to jump over it in one movement. Either is fine. Burpees may be performed lateral to the box so long as the above standards are met. A repetition is complete every time the athlete lands on the opposite side of the box from where the burpee was performed.
Running a day behind this week due to work/kids/etc. Event 1: 2:39 (burpees :50, row was 1:42). Had to lay down for a minute while I put lifters on. Event 2: 235. Went 185, 205, 225, 235, 240 (tied PR BUT it came at 8:04). Was shocked I recovered this well. Event 3: 196 Event 4: 8:32 (Wow, this hammered me. 185 is a pretty heavy PC for me but got through them. Also got a little Fran cough. Wife thinks I’m getting sick and I’m contagious. Tried to explain Fran cough to her (she doesn’t do CF) and it… Read more »

event 2: 195
event 4: 7:16
event 4: 7:16
3:45 event 1 did it thinking I could save energy here not realizing there is the penalty for every second and you go over the three-minute mark . I will be doing this one again ?
I lifted 165 175 185 190 fail the 195 twice
Did the last event 15 minutes after and went 6:16.
Hi my name is Bethanne and I like to do things at least three times before I get it right ?
Good work on Event 4 Bethanne!!! Yes, make sure to read the instructions for each event! 🙂
I’m doing the reading and comprehension for her from now on.
Hahaha!!!???he is in charge I am not so good at slowing down and reading I just want to gogo!!! Thank u Jeff aka teacher ?
Dempsey is in charge now?
Event #1 off rower at 3:50, sqt cleaned: 105,115,120,125,130x2f fails within 8 mins
not sure I understood what event#3 was 🙁
Event #4 Rxd , 105 lbs in 7:42
Not so great at CrossFit, but I’m pretty good at reading rules. 🙂
Event #3 is just a score. For females, the specified time “barrier” is 3:00 min. You’re over that time allotment by 50 seconds, so you deduct 50 from best successful squat clean, which appears to be 125. So, you’re Event #3 would be the score of 75 (125-50).
awe thank you Rodney!! I really appreciate your help. 😉 Im very grateful for your help! Merry Christmas! thanks again!
Did the wods straight through today.
1) 2:45
2) 215 (failed 225 twice). Worked up to 235 with no issues in warm-up – but 225 felt really heavy and my form was sloppy after the wod.
3) 170
4) 8:26
1)2:49
2)200# Tied my 1RM
3)151
4)13:34 185# is my 1RM PC. I know that this time is not great but I happy that I was able to PC every rep.
Great work Dean!!!!!!! Major accomplishments today!
Thanks Nichole! Today was a lot of fun. Looking forward to the next two days. I guessing that there will not be any running…
No running Dean!
Oh well. A person can dream.
Thats a GREAT time with that weight percentage!!!! And you tied your 1RM? Great day in my eyes!:-)
agreed, great work, it would of taken me forever if I had to clean my max every time!
Thank Pete! Love the Invictus programming. A year ago I would not have been able to make it through this wod.
Thank you! I was excited with how today went.
4. 9:04
