“Mamba” celebrates the career of NBA legend Kobe Bryant. 18 minutes for his 18 consecutive All-Star game appearances, 5 ring muscle-ups for the 5 NBA championship rings he earned with the Lakers, 8 power cleans for his jersey number from 1997-2006, and 24 box jumps for his jersey number from 2006-2016.
A. Bryan (banded muscle ups, 155#) – 4 rds. + 2 muscle ups. Christy (banded ring dips, 75#) – 5 rounds + 5 ring dips.
Subbed 5 pull ups and 5 dips for the muscle ups. Do not have a high enough anchor point for rings unless someone has a suggestion? 185 lb cleans. Also did 24″ box again due to low ceilings.

I ran 2 miles with my running group then hit “Mamba” quite a bit later.
I was not in it today…one of those days I didnt want to do the wod. ( the nursing facility I work in has been hit with norovirus. CDC has put us on lockdown until last resident is free of symptoms for 48 hrs…Anyhow…stressful few days!)
-But…I committed to 3 rounds. Did low ring mu’s. 24″ box and 125# power cleans. Did the 3 rds in 13 mins.

Finally got a decent set-up for rings at my gym, and I REALLY need to practice mu’s.
Subbed ring MU’s for bar MU’s. Nowhere to hang them at my gym.

Side note: Today I was able to chain together multiple muscle ups in one fluid motion for the first time ever. I did round one completely unbroken and fluid. I’m very happy for that accomplishment today.
