May 19, 2014 – Regionals Groups 3-4

Active Recovery Day
A.
Mobility and Maintenance
* Choose 1-2 Thoracic Mobility Drills from Kelly Starrett’s Mobility WOD and spend 5-10 minutes with them.
* Choose 2-3 Lower Body Mobility Drills from Kelly Starrett’s Mobility WOD and spend 10-12 minutes with them.
* Choose 1-2 Upper Extremity Mobility Drills from Kelly Starrett’s Mobility WOD and spend 5-10 minutes with them.
– AND/OR –
* Body work from a licensed body worker (ART, Graston, acupuncture, etc…)

B.
Inflammation Maintenance
* This could be a lot of things, but think in terms of compression, contrast baths, salt baths, castor oil packs, etc….

C.
Nutrition Preparation
* Ensure that you have quality foods prepared in the appropriate quantities to fuel your efforts for the remainder of the week.

D.
Mental Restoration
* Different for everyone – could be meditation or could be gathering with friends; the key is to engage in activities that make your life full and help you recharge your batteries.

CJ and Nichole! Didn’t know where to post this, so I’m just going to do it here. Just came home from Regionals in Copenhagen, and wanted to thank you for the programming and answering my questions in the weeks up till the big weekend. It has been very helpful 🙂 Keep up the good work.

Filip, great job over the weekend! It was so much fun to see you out there crushing both the hang snatch and the handstand walk! That was an amazing start to the weekend sir. Congratulations on a very solid season. I will look forward to following your progress over the next several months and leading into the 2015 season.

Just wanted to say thanks for the great programming. I left my remote coach after the open and feel fortunate to have this available for regional prep. I am one of the the athletes who just wants to maximize the events for my ability. At 39 I am not a games contender (until next year) but performing well at regionals is still very important to me. Thanks for always being there with consistently good stuff!! JP – South Central
