Hello Athletes!
Effective immediately, your Invictus Gymnastics programming will be posting Saturdays at 20:00 PST instead of Sunday at 20:00. This change is due to a couple of reasons:
1. Time Zone/International Dateline
2. Rest Days
3. Week’s Training Plan
Many of our members spend Sundays with active recovery, meal prep and putting together their training plan for the upcoming week. I am also aware that the amount of tutorials in our programming can take quite a bit of time to cover and review. It’s because of these reasons that I’ve been granted permission to send the programming out early, starting now!
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that we have a Facebook page dedicated to helping you! The Invictus Gymnastics Coaching Page is for you to post your gymnastics work for review on the items you would like my eyes to see, and to get direct feedback (from me).
I understand that Facebook has many flaws and a lot of people prefer to avoid being on that platform. If this is you, I would like you to consider an option, as my goal is to help as many of you as I can.
If you do not have a Facebook account and would prefer not to be known on the social media platform, you can actually sign-up with a fictitious name and choose not to post a profile picture. Many of my athletes do this. Your real name will only be known to me as I reference your username or legal name through our enrollment system. This is how I know to accept you into this members’ group, but that will be the last time I will access your Invictus account.
Posting on our coaching page is, of course, optional. When a member posts, I spend as much time as necessary to give detailed feedback. I do this (aside from the obvious) because I want to do my best job as a coach to help the person I am coaching, but it also allows our members who prefer not to post to read the feedback and apply it to their own training. I feel that the more these movements can be understood by the readers, the more power you have over the mental aspect of your gymnastics training. Essentially, posting on the page can help everybody who reads it, not just the athlete who posted! Remember, it’s about community and inclusivity, and I aim to help you all as much as I possibly can.
In the works (and has been for some time now) is the possibility of finally having our gymnastics program on an app! Now, I’ll believe it when I see it, but I want you all to know that I’ve been attempting to patiently wait for the day to come that we don’t need to login to the Invictus website to see the programming. My hopes are high, and though I cannot give you more specific information yet, I want you to know that I am laser focused on getting this finalized as soon as we can. Please don’t expect it to be by the end of the 2022, but it will happen when I hear from Invictus HQ that it is finalized. You will know as soon as I do, and I will give you all the info you need to get started on a convenient app on your phone!
Lastly, I would like to share a personal note. As early as February, 2023, I will be traveling to coach Invictus Gymnastics Seminars around the globe. I have decided that I would rather be out in the world helping others than have a place I call home. I have just returned from a 9 month coaching and exploring adventure, living out of my luggage, and I got to meet the most incredible people, coached hundreds of athletes and coaches, and had some of the most challenging and exciting adventures of my life. So, until further notice I will not be tied down to one place in particular, and there’s a very good chance I would like to coach at your local box over a weekend on this upcoming journey!
If you are a box owner and would like me to come put on an event at your location, or if you’re an athlete or coach at a box and think the owner(s) would like to host a gymnastics seminar, please contact me as soon as you can via my contact info below. These seminars are typically one or two days and include a coach’s training day for your gym’s staff, and I am also open to ‘Coach’s Only’ training. If you’re interested in a face-to-face coaching event, I would love to see how I can help your community, coaches, and the coaches who help countless others!
I hope this change is only a positive change for you, but if you have anything you would to share with me about the new change, please email me and I would love to hear from you!
